This year's Women March will be held on Saturday, January 20!
Last year's turnout was magical and inspiring, so we are pretty dang excited to participate in the Los Angeles march again this year.
A bit of info from the organizers -
"Women’s March Los Angeles is part of a national movement to unify and empower those who stand for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties and social justice for all. This year the Women’s March LA Foundation is committed to turning out the vote and hopes to use the power of the upcoming March, along with the work being done by partner organizations, to bring attention to the urgency of preparing for the November midterm elections. The March will encourage participants to use their vote in order to help build a government that reflects their ideals, and will provide the tools to do so by having voter registration available on-site. Speakers will address important issues such as voter turnout, access, restrictions and intimidation and will discuss a plan of action leading up to November 2018 and beyond."
Speakers and supporters committed to participating include Mayor Eric Garcetti, Scarlett Johansson, Chloe Bennet, Rowan Blanchard, Sophia Bush, Laverne Cox, Paris Jackson, Megan Mullally, Olivia Munn, Nicole Richie, Catt Sadler, Olivia Wilde, among others. There will also be performances by Idina Menzel, Maxwell, and The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles with Melissa Etheridge.
The event starts at 8:30 am with some speakers at Pershing Square (corner of 5th and Hill St), followed by the March at 10 am which will take everyone to Grand Park where there will be more speeches and performances until 3pm-ish.
